In-helicopter measurements CONRADT measurement and regulation technologies, Germany
CONRADT has patented a process to accurately adapt damping systems in accordance with the weight and stiffness of structures. A helicopter main rotor, which rotates at 6.5 revolutions a second, generates extremely high levels of vertical excitation throughout the aircraft. Due to the high level of regulation in this field, once an aircraft has been certified, it is practically impossible to add further components to an existing attachment, even though neither stability nor vibration measurements are compromised. The measurement system requires an exceptionally large dynamic amplitude range, which is provided the OROS OR36 multi-analyzer, used in such circumstances.
