Area Sales Manager

OROS designs and manufactures noise and vibration testing systems (instruments and software) for more than 30 years, meeting the requirements and expectations of automotive, aerospace, marine energy & process, manufacturing and automation industries. French company with worldwide scope (80% of turnover with 2 subsidiaries, 6 offices, 8 maintenance centers and representatives in more than 35 countries), OROS is a dynamic company where innovation is at the heart of its strategy to offer a range of high-tech products and solutions. OROS covers data acquisition, structural dynamics, acoustics and rotating applications as well as a range of related services.

 

One of the strengths of OROS is to be highly focused on its customers’ applications. That enables to provide hardware platforms coupled with applicative software modules and dedicated services depending on the application.

OROS is creating a new position, and is looking for an Area Sales Manager.

Based in Grenoble (Isère, France), you will report to the Export Sales Manager, you will manage and develop the distribution network, mainly in Europe, regarding sales and distribution of OROS products and solutions. According to the commercial strategy, your missions will be to:

 

  • Take part to the commercial strategy definition (country by country) and make the deployment
  • Animate, motivate, challenge the existing distribution network on its sales potential: customers’ visits, actions follow up, final customers’ panel analysis.
  • Develop the existing distribution network: look for new distributors, representatives and partners.
  • Initiate and take part to the communication actions, such as exhibitions, seminars, users’ days…
  • Establish and track quotes and tenders for our distributors and customers.
  • Make reporting to qualify and track relations
  • Make a regular competitive intelligence
  • Be regularly trained on new applications and offer evolutions


You must be a higher education graduate in technical studies. Superior technical training, you must have at least 5 years successful experience in the animation of international distribution network on high added value solutions. You have ideally evolved in the fields of acoustics and vibrations or scientific instrumentation by developing application knowledge in advanced mechanics.

You show a technical appetite and you especially have the sense of business. You are commercial strategy and results oriented. You are independent, organized and have a team spirit, essential within an SMB.

You must speak fluent English.

The position will be based in Grenoble (Isère, France).  It will be a full-time, permanent contract, starting in January 2018.  Frequent business trips in Europe
