Siemens Uses OROS Analyzers

Siemens Energy is an international leader for the manufacturing and servicing of power generation, transmission and distribution systems. OROS has sold analyzers at a number of sites in Germany and the US. In particular, Siemens uses OROS analyzers in a major of its German systems to deal with worldwide installations and troubleshooting of turbo generator machine trains driven by gas or steam turbines. Those power plants are located in the most remote parts of the world and Siemens uses the reliable, flexible and accurate OROS systems as cannot afford a system that would let them down.

• OR34s are used whenever a very portable system is required as it happens often for balancing applications.
• OR36s are used whenever larger simultaneous channel counts are required such as for end-winding tests.

Siemens likes the level of proximity, reactivity, support and data exchange they can receive with OROS.
Their applications range from:

• End winding test on generators with NVGate
• Rotating machinery tests on turbo machine trains with ORBIGate

They really enjoy the possibility to start on the same hardware platform either a structural end winding test with NVGate or a rotating test with ORBIGate: All with one box!
