From engine gearboxes to steam turbines, rotating machines sound
and vibrations phenomena are related to their rotating speed. In order to handle these dynamic
phenomena, OROS proposes a set of tools.
For run-up, torque application, or even stabilized speed trials,
the OROS
analyzer FFT mode provides a complete Constant
Band Tracking. This measurement technique is well suited
for gearbox studies or even rotating machines diagnostics.
The synchronous
order analysis mode gives accurate results on applications
involving fast run-up/down, coast down, or rotor
balancing. This analysis is based on the signal re-sampling
synchronized with the tachometer, resulting in a steady
exploitable display: the order spectra. This is the most
efficient solution for order tracking on machines with fast
rotation speed variations.
For all these analysis techniques several tachometers can
be treated simultaneously to track multiple shafts or gearwheel
influences.
