Torsional vibrations measurements on engine timing (camshaft)
Downsizing car engines emphasizes critical timing adapation. It is mainly due to torsional vibration from the crancksaht and camshat coupling. Danielson eng. uses the OR36 with 6 torsional inputs plus strain gauges to tune the FEA model of a new 3 cylinders 2 strokes diesel engine.
